Our History
Susquehanna Valley Mobility Services, Inc. opened its doors in September 2003 to provide specialty wheelchairs and positioning equipment to the residents of Central PA. Aaron Lauver, President and Owner, has been in the home medical equipment business with a focus on rehab since 1993. Many companies were changing their focus to respiratory patients'’ needs, which left mobility clients scrambling for products and services. He wanted to ensure that people in our area could receive the equipment they needed and have it serviced.
In the years preceding opening SVMS, Aaron heard time and again that servicing of the equipment was a problem. Clients were unable to get their chairs repaired or have parts replaced, due to lack of available resources in the local area. He knew that the clients who needed this equipment were being put into difficult situations. His goal – provide reliable service and become a community advocate for the continuing care of the mobility impaired.
